50's & 60's MUSICAL TRIBUTE NIGHT

Peter as Elvis

A UNIQUE DOUBLE BILL

Fiona McLean has an incredibly versatile voice. She has been singing for many years and has toured with bands in the UK and Ireland, and has performed internationally as a solo act. Fiona incorporates great songs from the 50s and 60s in a diverse repertoire which contains songs made famous by Dusty Springfield, Connie Francis, Cliff Richard, Buddy Holly, Tammy Wynette, Patsy Kline, Jim Reeves, plus many more.

Peter Day began as an Elvis sound-a-like about ten years ago but has since matured into an act all of his own, performing both nationally and internationally (including Hawaii with the late Don Ho). Peter's unique act incorporates music made famous by such greats as Cliff Richard, Ricky Valance, Buddy Holly, Billy Fury, Elvis Presley, Eden Kane, Rick Nelson and more. This show includes the Elvis 2000 Vegas Tribute.

Mad Dogs and Englishmen Theatre Co will be performing for us "Mad and Merry Monarchs - a right royal romp through history". If you like the Reduced Shakespeare Co, you will love this! This show will discover the colourful and crazy episodes of history, throwing new light on whether Alfred really did burn the cakes or was he having a crafty smoke behind the bike sheds? And how did King John lose the crown jewels in the Wash? If you can’t name our rulers in the right order, or the difference between William the Conqueror and William Rufus but you don’t want a school history lesson, this show is for you; 1000 years of England’s history in 100 minutes of music, poetry, songs and silliness. A brand new show by Ann Courtney, it is ideal for a family audience who are not afraid to join in on occasions!

Saturday 19 July 2008 at 7.30pm

Tickets: £12.50, Concessions £10.50
