The Commemoration Hall was built in 1842 by Robert Fox a local benefactor from Godmanchester and was opened as the Scientific and Literary Institute. It was operated by a small body of trustees until a major refurbishment in 1960 in its being handed over for its long term maintenance and operation.

The Commemoration Hall comprises of a large main hall (approx 27ft x 67ft), a foyer(approx 30ft x 18ft), the Minerva Room (upstairs) (approx 30ft x 15ft), a substantial stage together with associated dressing rooms, kitchen and disabled toilet facilities. This hall is available for hire (Mondays to Saturdays) for either commercial or non-commercial events. Please contact us for hire rates.
